Options for order repeat medication

  • Pop your request form into the post box outside the surgery
  • By registering for Patient Access - please ask reception for details
  • Emailing fv.tor@nhs.scot 
  • Some pharmacies will order on your behalf - contact them direct for information

Please note we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone.

Please allow AT LEAST 48 hours before collection.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Notice to All Patients

Changes to the Prescribing of Hypnotics/Anxiolytics (Benzodiazepines)

The Committee on Safety of Medicines has advised that all GP practices should avoid long-term prescribing of the following medicines: Diazepam, Nitrazepam, Lorazepam, Temazepam, Loprazolam, Zopiclone, Lormetazepam, Zolpidem, Oxazepam, Zaleplon.

Please note that these tablets will now NO LONGER routinely be started by practices.

If you are already taking any of the above medicines then you may be invited for a review with your doctor to discuss a plan to step down/stop the medicine. If you would like any more information, please discuss with your doctor.
